Marja AholaCustomer Support Manager

    Marja has served in many capacities since joining the company in 1980, and she assumed her current position as customer support manager in 2016. In this role, Marja relies on her extensive experience in payroll and customer relations to provide internal support for payroll processors as well as external support for clients.

    Previously, Marja had filled dual roles as payroll and customer relations manager. While overseeing payroll, she was responsible for ongoing education of payroll staff to keep them apprised of frequently changing federal, state and local payroll regulations through weekly training sessions. For many years, Marja personally implemented the initial pay cycle for each new client to ensure that all details were correct before the account was assigned to a payroll specialist. This engaged, hands-on approach with new account setups resulted in quality, timely production of paychecks and reports. Marja continues to maintain close contact with clients.

    As part of her management responsibilities, Marja frequently reviews staff protocols for addressing client concerns and suggestions. In addition, her expertise in payroll data processing supports the management team by providing the necessary oversight capabilities.

    She holds a bachelor’s in accounting from The University of Akron.
